Twisted Dimensions -Series of One-shots- Chapter 4

  "You and your ideas," commented Xiang, sounding rather ticked off.
  Nayomi ignored his negativity. "Aw, yeah!" she cried over the rushing wind, feeling ever-so bad-ass. "Sonic may be fast, but he ain't no match for this!"
  "Are they?" Xiang retorted, motioning behind.
  At this Nayomi looked back to see a whole gang of men on bikes much like their own 'borrowed' one. All of them wore shades and black-and-white helmets, and red-and-blue lights flashed between the handles of their vehicles.
  Nayomi smirked. "Well, I guess we'll just have to find out!"

  As the two rushed through the terminal station, Elise just had to open her mouth. "I knew it!" she exclaimed, clearly thrilled. "I just knew you'd return!"
  Sonic was about to reply when out of nowhere a pair on a motorcycle turned in front of them, forcing him to a halt.
  "'Cause this romance is just that cliche!" stated the girl with a taunting smirk.
  Her confidence seemed to break, however, when suddenly a squad of cops pulled over behind Sonic and Elise.
  "I guess we just found out," said Xiang blankly. He then shot Nayomi a flat glance. "Any more brilliant ideas?"
  Nayomi's gaze wandered upward as she considered, ignoring the chief officer's warnings and demands for cooperation. "Umm...."
  A couple of officers were approaching, cuffs in hand, when a disc of bright electricity suddenly shot between them and their targets at great speed - and just barely missed Elise and Sonic. Instinctively, everyone looked to the direction from which it came. But a few yards away was a silver-furred hedgehog, who wore luminescent clothing and a very angry-looking expression.
  "Don't try to interfere, officers!" he commanded. "I've got a job to do, and I won't let anyone stand in my way!"
  Nayomi paid little attention to his words; what had her beaming was the idea that the rather powerful-looking blast of energy had come from him. "That's it!" she whisper-exclaimed, snapping her fingers.
  Silver continued, "This time, there will be no interruptions!"
  "Hey," interrupted a light-brunette teenaged girl, "I've gotta ask, would you-"
  As she spoke Silver sweatdropped at her so soon proving him wrong, then cut in, "Do you mind?!"
  In surprise the girl drew back a bit. "Erm... Right," she replied, seemingly disappointed. "I'm just gonna go over here..."
  With that she slowly began to step aside, then broke into a sudden sprint - followed by a dark-haired boy around her age. A gust of wind threatened to knock Silver over as he rushed by.
  "Man, who are they?!" yelled Sonic, and nearly everyone there wondered the same thing.
